Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your browser on subsequent visits and remember information such as your login state.
Cookies we use
Vuln Pro Scan uses essential cookies only. We do not use advertising, marketing, or third-party tracking cookies.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
next-auth.session-token | Authenticates your session after sign-in. Without this cookie you cannot access protected pages. | Essential | Session / 30 days (remember-me) |
next-auth.csrf-token | Protects against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks on sign-in forms. | Essential | Session |
next-auth.callback-url | Stores the URL to redirect to after successful authentication. | Essential | Session |
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers your chosen display language across visits. | Preference | 1 year |
vsp_cookie_consent | Records your acknowledgement of this cookie policy so the banner is not shown on every visit. | Essential | 1 year |
Why we only use essential cookies
Under GDPR Article 5 and the ePrivacy Directive, non-essential cookies (such as advertising or analytics cookies) require your prior informed consent. We have designed Vuln Pro Scan to operate without non-essential cookies, so no consent pop-up is required beyond your initial acknowledgement that the service uses session cookies.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party tracking scripts that set cookies.
Managing cookies
Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality (you would not be able to stay logged in). You can delete all cookies at any time in your browser settings. The preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) can be removed without affecting your ability to use the service — you would simply need to re-select your language preference.
Most browsers also allow you to block cookies site-by-site. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
Changes to this policy
If we introduce new cookies — including any non-essential cookies — we will update this policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent before setting them.
