Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Vuln Pro Scan you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Authorised use

Vuln Pro Scan is a dynamic application security testing (DAST) tool. You may only scan systems that you own or for which you have explicit written authorisation to test. Scanning systems without authorisation is prohibited and may constitute a criminal offence under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (US), the Computer Misuse Act (UK), and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authorisation before initiating any scan.

3. Prohibited conduct

You may not use Vuln Pro Scan to:

• Scan systems you do not own or lack authorisation to test.
• Conduct denial-of-service attacks or disrupt third-party services.
• Collect, harvest, or store personal data from scanned systems beyond what is necessary for a legitimate security assessment.
• Circumvent security controls of systems you are not authorised to access.
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• Resell or sublicense access to the platform without our prior written consent.

4. Data processing

Where you process personal data using Vuln Pro Scan (e.g. personal data that may appear incidentally within HTTP responses of scanned systems), you are the data controller and we are your data processor. Our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) governs such processing and is incorporated into these Terms by reference for customers subject to GDPR, UK GDPR, or equivalent data protection law.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.

5.1 Money-back guarantee

30-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your subscription within 30 days of purchase, contact us at legal@vulnproscan.com and we will issue a full refund. No questions asked. This guarantee applies to all subscription plans.

5.2 Cancellation and refunds

After the 30-day guarantee period:

• Monthly plans: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused portions.
• Annual plans: You may request a prorated refund for the unused portion of your annual subscription if you cancel after the 30-day guarantee. Prorated refunds are calculated as (days remaining / 365) × annual price.

5.3 Pricing

We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Price changes will not apply to your current billing period.

5.4 Consumer protection

Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law, including European consumer protection regulations and UK consumer law.

6. Intellectual property

All rights in the Vuln Pro Scan platform, software, and documentation remain with us. You retain all rights in your scan data and reports. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your scan data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Vulnerability scanning is a technical tool that assists with security assessments. We do not warrant that scans will identify every vulnerability in a system, and we are not liable for security incidents that arise from vulnerabilities not detected by the service.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, without prejudice to any other remedies available to us. Upon termination, your scan data will be deleted in accordance with our retention policy described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. For EU customers, nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection or data protection law, including GDPR.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
